This Is When Your OnePlus Phone Will Get the Android 13 Beta
OnePlus last month released the stable Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 update for the OnePlus 10 Pro. But after more than a month, no other device has picked up the new Android version. Meanwhile, the company has released beta updates for a few more devices. While not saying when the stable update will arrive for other models, OnePlus recently published a roadmap for the beta update for the remaining eligible models.
After the OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus rolled out the Android 13 beta to the OnePlus 10R, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9 Pro in September. OnePlus 9RT, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T received the update earlier this month. The company plans to add the OnePlus 10T, OnePlus Nord 2T, and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite to the list this quarter. e between now and the end of December. OnePlus’ Android 13 beta program will also open for the OnePlus Nord CE 2, OnePlus Nord 2, and OnePlus Nord CE in the first half of 2023.
The company suggests that the Nord N20 SE will not receive the beta update. Instead, it will carry the stable version directly, which will arrive by June next year. As for stable updates for other models, there is no timeline available yet.
OnePlus only says that it will keep releasing new beta builds until it gets rid of all the bugs and issues. The company will consider feedback from beta testers to tune the software before public rollout. Also, carrier models are not eligible for the beta program, and stable builds for them will undergo a verification process by the respective carriers.
OnePlus released the Android 13 beta update roadmap
OnePlus was very early in checking out Android 13. It released the primary OxygenOS 13 beta construct for the OnePlus 10 Pro in May. The company also beats Samsung to the punch when it comes to stable releases. However, the company apparently prioritized the update for one model over the rest.
Despite a strong start, it’s far now in the back of Samsung withinside the race. The Korean behemoth has already released multiple beta updates for dozens of device models and plans to roll out stable updates to most of them in November.
