Samsung is getting closer to rolling out the One UI 5.0 stable update based on Android 13 to the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The company has released a new beta update for the latest foldable. This may be the final beta build before the public rollout.
The latest Android 13 beta release for Galaxy Z Fold 4 is available for registered users in China, India and Europe. The new firmware version of the phone ends up being ZVK3 in India and ZVK1 in China, the OTA (Over the Air) package weighs around 500MB. The changelog is slightly different for China and rest of the world units. But there isn’t much to talk about here. Samsung has developed some bugs and that’s about it. This indicates a stable release, the company has already gotten rid of most of the bugs.
With this release, Samsung has fixed the keyboard overlapping issue in landscape mode (via). Also fixed an issue with the music widget incorrectly expanding on the lock screen when using Good Lock. The Korean firm also planted a search bug in My Files. The app did not show results when searching using the file name. Other bugs that have been patched include a memory leak issue in Camera Pro mode and issues with the system UI.
As you might expect, Galaxy Z Fold 4 users who are enrolled in the One UI 5.0 beta application will simplest acquire this OTA update. They can check for the replace from the Software Update menu withinside the Settings app or wait for a notification about it. Everyone else will have to wait for a stable release from Samsung, which should come very soon. The Korean firm plans to update its latest foldable Android 13 this month.
The Android 13 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is almost here.
Samsung started rolling out stable updates to Android 13 for its Galaxy devices last month. It first released the new Android version for the Galaxy S22 series. The company followed up with updates for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy Note 20 series yesterday. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 could be next in the pipeline, though we don’t have confirmation yet. The likes of Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 should also get the One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 soon. Samsung will likely update all these devices at the same time. We’ll let you know when the rollout begins.
