TikTok is Now available with Enable In-App Shopping
TikTok will soon let you Enable In-App Shopping, and the feature looks set to roll out to the public, at least in the US. The social media giant started testing the feature that lets you buy items without leaving the app earlier this week, and it’s now available to US users.
TikTok has been focusing on bringing e-commerce to the app for a long time, but it had a slow start in the US compared to other regions like Asia. A few months ago, the app experimented with a Shopify shopping tab and is now gearing up to bring live shopping features to the app after a slow start this year.
TikTok spokeswoman Laura Perez confirmed that in-app shopping is currently being tested in the US, but did not provide further details. This feature was previously limited to the UK, Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries.

TikTok is now asking US businesses to join the app and will soon expand to international sellers. TikTok is also partnering with brands for its live shopping feature and it may launch later this year during the holiday season.
One of the TikTok job listings says:
The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a fiercely competitive space among the Internet’s leading companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. With millions of loyal users globally, we believe that TikTok is an ideal platform to provide our users with a completely new and improved e-commerce experience.
As tiktok Enable In-App Shopping starts rolling out to additional regions around the world, it’s very likely that the feature will eventually come to Pakistan as the market has huge potential here, just like in other countries. .
